BAFTA nominations remind us British film had an excellent year


Here’s our best hint yet at the 2016 Oscar nominees. The 68th BAFTAs, the awards from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, has announced its nominees. The list looks as you’d might expect, barring a handful of exceptions.


The big snub went to Mad Max: Fury Road, which didn’t receive nominations for Best Film or Best Director, honors that instead went to films like Bridge of Spies and The Revenant and their respective directors.
