I remember when I first saw Assassin’s Creed Unity at E3 2014. They demoed one of the riot scenes and the staffer demoing it said I was hidden among a crowd of hundreds of virtual Parisians. Then he went on to say that other scenes in the game had thousands of individuals milling about and I said “Does that…even run?”
It was—and I think still is—a fair question. Unity was fairly broken at launch, and although Ubisoft swore up and down that it wasn’t because of the crowd sizes, I noticed this year’s entry (
